The California Pet Groomers Association (CPPGA) has a rich history rooted in the advocacy and unity of its members. Throughout its journey, CPPGA has continuously championed the interests of pet groomers across the state. A pivotal moment in this history came with the defeat of the potentially devastating SB969 in  2012. Through collective action and unwavering determination, a group of 30  groomers prevented the passage of SB969 but also safeguarded the livelihoods of countless pet groomers statewide. Those groomers were inspired to start the CPPGA in 2013.  Amidst this victory, CPPGA remains vigilant, recognizing that the battle for the protection and advancement of the grooming profession is ongoing. As echoed by its members, CPPGA understands the importance of continuous vigilance and proactive engagement, affirming that resting on laurels is a luxury the industry cannot afford.
